Dr. Rick Wallace, Ph.D., Psy.D.
Dr. Rick Wallace, Ph.D., Psy.D. has authored and published 24 books, including his latest work Academic Apartheid; Critical Mass: The Phenomenon of Next-Level Living; Born in Captivity: Psychopathology as a Legacy of Slavery; The Undoing of the African American Mind; and The Mis-education of Black Youth in America.
He has written and published thousands of scholarly and prose articles and papers, with the overwhelming majority of his work surrounding the enigmatic issues plaguing blacks on every level. Papers that he has published include: “Special Education as the Mechanism for the Mis-education of African Youth;” “Racial Trauma & African Americans;” “Epigenetics in Psychology: The Genetic Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma in African Americans;” and “Collective Cognitive-Bias Reality Syndrome” — to name a few.
Dr. Wallace is also a powerful and electrifying public speaker who speaks to numerous types and sizes of audiences on a number of different subjects. He also functions as a personal life enhancement advisor and counselor.
As the Founder and CEO of The Visionetics Institute, Dr. Wallace uses a wide range of disciplines, including psycho-cybernetics; neuro-linguistic programming; psychology; neuro-associative conditioning; embodied cognitive conditioning; and transformational vocabulary to help people raise the level of their performance in every area of their lives, including finance, marriage, business, parenting and more.
Kayla Bell-Consolver has worked in the mental health field since 2016. She
completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Drake University in
2016 and received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling at Drake University in 2019.
Kayla currently serves as the President of the Iowa Mental Health Counselor’s Association; member of
2022 class of One Iowa’s LGBTQ Leadership Institute; and member of the
National Physical and Mental Health Subcommittee for Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Incorporated. She is a QPR Gatekeeper instructor, which is a suicide
prevention practice that teaches you effective ways to prevent suicide.
She utilizes EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family
Systems Therapy to assist her clients in mitigating shame and enhancing
their overall mental well-being. Kayla specializes in trauma informed
practices, especially as it relates to LGBTQ+ and BIPOC experiences.
In her free time, Kayla enjoys dancing, playing the clarinet, playing
basketball, lifting weights, coloring, and engaging in mental health
content creating on social media platforms.
Joi Ross is an international best-selling author, facilitator of change and personal transformation, lover of people, and CEO of APEX Direct, an award-winning communications consulting firm. She also hosts “Living Inside-Out Today,” a weekly radio and podcast show.
As a result of working with her firm, APEX, clients more effectively communicate with empathy and impact. Clients hire Joi and her team to create communication strategies and deliver training in areas such as, identifying and overcoming stereotypes and barriers to effective communication; community engagement; climate and environmental justice; and customer service excellence. Projects to help underserved, overburdened communities facing economic, environmental and health disparities have been a focal point.
Answering what she believes was a call from God in 2019, she formed Joi Ross Consulting, a separate business entity, where she focuses on writing, speaking, training and facilitating personal development and transformation. Her focus is helping people move from feeling stuck, unfulfilled, and unable to move forward … to experiencing freedom, fulfillment, and joy.
In addition to her professional background, born into a pastor’s family, Joi has faithfully served in leadership and support roles focused on helping other people most of her adult life. For over 15 years in a volunteer capacity, she has served as mentor, spiritual guide, and counselor to those struggling with spirituality, grief, depression, anxiety, and other challenges. Her passion is helping people identify and fulfill their God-given purpose.

Ashley Starwood, LCSW, CYT-200
Ashley Starwood, LCSW, CYT-200 earned an undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and an MSW from Aurora University. She is well-versed in trauma and crisis therapy and is committed to helping clients become the best version of themselves.
In addition to her clinical experience, Ashley has training in happiness coaching; hypnotherapy; crisis prevention; and is a certified yoga teacher. She is also a published author and uses her book, Writing with Love: A Guided Journal for Couples, to help clients strengthen their relationships.
In therapy, Ashley creates a warm and supportive environment and incorporates extensive therapeutic training and mindfulness into treatment plans. Her goal is to provide clients with the tools they need to move forward and grow.

Pamela Smith is a clinical counselor, career coach and consultant at Veduta Consulting. She specializes in multicultural family counseling and executive business coaching. She is certified in EMDR, a first-line treatment for PTSD, as well as Anger Management (NAMA) and trained in perinatal therapy (PSI). Pamela works with adults, couples, and families.
Pamela’s broad range of professional interests and clinical experience include multicultural issues, relationships, interpersonal conflict and self-esteem, family and parenting challenges, transracial families, and adoption. She has specialized training in pregnancy and post-pregnancy challenges, anxiety and mood management, anger management and trauma treatment.
Pamela brings to Veduta her exceptional business acumen and understanding of workplace dynamics, gained in her long and successful career in the world of corporate business. Pamela has held positions in Business Design and Strategies, Information Technology, Training, and as a Logistics Business Analyst for a Fortune 500 company.
Pamela is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Pamela received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University, in downtown Chicago (2014). Pamela earned her Bachelor’s Degree in art with a Minor Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University, San Francisco, California and her Associates of Arts Degree in Apparel Design from Fashion Institute of Portland, Oregon. Pamela worked as an Assistant Designer for Jeanne Marc, an haute couture in San Francisco, California.
